Get the facts about micro-mini and teacup pigs and other supposedly extremely tiny pigs from those of us who provide them a safe haven after they're discarded. Go to WWW.TEACUPPIG.INFO to get the facts before you buy!
If contributing to a "rescue" or "sanctuary", please be sure that the place is "legit" and the people running it are not just animal hoarders. Quite often the honest organizations are forced to take in "rescued" pigs and other animals from individuals who are simply hoarders and do not properly care for the animals they take in. There are many fine non-profit and private rescues. Please be sure your contribution goes to a facility that is truly benefitting the animals it purports to help. Thank you!
Please contact one of these fine rescues if you are able to sponsor, foster or adopt a pig or other animal in need...

They all do wonderful work and have saved countless needy pigs and other animals. There are many other groups, as well, who'd appreciate your help, such as your local S.P.C.A.

With the continued steady increases in feed costs, fuel, building materials, vet and day to day expenses, sanctuary and rescue organizations need your support now, more than ever. Animals are being abandoned at a greater rate than ever because their owners cannot afford to care for them. Rescues are being forced to turn away animals because there's simply no more room or resources. People are being forced to decide between groceries for their families, gas for the car to get to work, heating bills or pet needs. I personally have seen the cost of a 50 lb. bag of feed increase by more than $3 in the last year. I use over 50 lbs of pellets a day for 50+ pigs. Imagine the quantity needed by the large rescues who may have a few hundred pigs to feed! The cost of hay has at least doubled in our area. Veterinary care is also very expensive. Within 6 weeks I had expenses of about $2,000 for three sick pigs. Within a month there was another $1,000 bill. Without medical care each would have died. All are now healthy, but one is on continued medication. Another arthritic pig requires daily medications to keep her moving and comfortable. As our populations age within our rescues, our expenses climb as we try to provide their medical needs and standard daily care. Please offer a rescue, local SPCA or other animal welfare group your support in any way you can, be it feed, excess produce, blankets, financial contributions, your time, your talents (carpentry, computer, artistic, literary, etc.), or a donation of equipment, building materials, fencing, rubber mats, etc. When times are tough, it's not only the humans who suffer and any donation, however small, is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
